New to the site...I need help finding slip on mufflers for my 84 ironhead. I've searched and have had no success. I don't want the SE. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Cycle Shack slip-ons for 1980 to 2003. IMO best looking, best sounding, best price slip-ons out there.
The CS slash cuts have removeable baffles. I have a set of these with the baffles replaced with lollipop or bolt&washer baffles - for special occasions like biker funerals and trips to Port Dover Fri13th, where quantity of sound is important.
Since i ride every day, sometimes early AM, i need something where quality of sound is more important. I have a pair of the fully baffled CS taper tips for everyday use. These present a good IronHead rumble without being obnoxiously loud. Full length steel performance baffles.
With a little creativity i have fitted these to my 1978. Should be easily fitted to any year IronHead including 1979.
Order thru any catalog company [J&P Cycles, etc], or thru a local indie shop. There was a guy on eBay recently selling them for $100 + reasonable shipping - an awesome deal.
I bought mine thru my indie. He got them from one of his usual suppliers.
I have Dyno Power (Custom Chrome) slip-ons on my '83, so that's another option. They are generally available from places like J&P and Denis Kirk, too. I found mine on eBay - $29, new in the box...
