There's about to be a new thread with pictures of a new one that sumped. The pictures will clearly show a casting flaw which would explain why they don't all do it.

Casting flaw in the engine case (or some other component)?

Engine case. There's a hole in the case between the cam chest and the rear tappet block cavity. He pulled 40 oz out of the sump. 124" build.

I post facts... and yes... I bait those that feel the need to turn their post into attacks on me instead of focusing on the thread subject. You'll rarely if ever find me personally attacking others unless its a counter response. And under those circumstances and rarely give any quarter. Keep the posts about the topic instead of me and you'll rarely have any issue with me.

Yep, FACTS...usually with weblinks or pictures. If its not a fact, I say so. If its my opinion, I usually state that as well. If its a fact but my personally experience, well ...you can decide to accept it or not. Makes no difference to me.
