If your going to call anyone dishonest, I'd start with HD back in August of 2016 when they introduce the First M8 and neglected to tell customers about the EPA agreement and how the old "gray" rule of changing headpipes is no long a "gray area". The gray area around here use to be if the headpipe affected or causes engine damage, those components are not covered.
You would think a new rule that could affect your ENTIRE powertrain warranty (Engine, Transmission, and all attached) would be something they would at least put a sticker of some sort on the bike, or a red insert in the manual or require the dealer to disclose. But that wasn't the case and still isn't. In fact, I'll wager 70% of customers purchasing new bikes don't have a clue what the EPA agreement even is, and of that is 50% of HD sales people.
Now back on topic, I'd hate to be this guy, but as you can see, sumping is real and it's out there happening... https://youtu.be/kYdDVBOf45U
I don't believe Harley has ever been dishonest with their warranty, they just used to be more lenient.
"how you kept it stock and rides under 3.5K RPM" wrong and wrong..you only read what you want, take it out of context..really don't know wtf you are even talking about
my bike has been a dyno tuned Stage 1 for 2 years and in compliance and I ride it anyway I like anytime I like..I read my warranty and clearly understand it..some have lower levels of comprehension skills I guess
I keep wanting to ask you if you could possibly be any stupider but been afraid you'd take that as a challenge
Why is it you fanboyz have to resort to personal attacks such as calling people stupid etc? Its just so childish. You're a grown man, how about focusing on the topic of sumping instead of trying to drive members you dislike off the thread. You should know better by now.
Once again Tbob, you should learn to read if you want to make these chidish claims. If you did, and looked back in my history, you'd see how I once believe Heatwave was abusing his bikes making them to sump, which caused some heated discussions. Then I was educated by some of the really knowledgeable folks on here, that under no conditions, should an M8 ever sump, so I changed my tune.
Now back to topic please children.
Just for the record, as Rin Tin has articulated, I avoid carrying grudges. Its just childish. I respond to posters without regard to what might have been personal attacks directed my way in the past. I'll also defend myself against those that might have supported me in the past but feel the need to personally attack me anyways.
If folks would move on from their childish grudges and instead focus on the topic at hand, we'd all learn more. If you insist on trying to rewrite the past or lie, then I'll gladly defend myself or at least correct with the facts. But I really have no interest in attacking anyone on this forum. Most of you, I have learned from at one time or another because you have insight about Harleys that's of interest to me. Some of you are funny. Some are childish but that's ok too and even entertaining at times.
But focusing on the topic and NOT the person making the post for the majority of the time is my preferred approach. Hopefully it's yours as well.

And calling people liars... Is that not a personal attack?
I used to sympathize with your frustations. Now you have lost ALL credibility with me.
Not at all when I know the facts and someone is posting lies about me. By default, that makes them a liar. I am not seeking your opinion on my credibility. You can keep it. I have nothing to sell to anyone on this forum (unlike others). Back to the topic of sumping.

I agree, they did use to be more "lenient". But that said, there is a huge difference, between voiding out anything that touches or is affected by an aftermarket part vs voiding someones entire powertrain. No one has to agree with me, it's my free will opinion, they should have been more forthright with this information by notifying the consumer. Especially when the % of people that modify their exhaust on a HD even before the first ride, has always been very high and they knew this.
Now lets get back on topic here. What did you think of the video? Me personally, I feel bad for both guys. The first one who rode from Michigan to Daytona bike week and his bike sumped on the way there... and the second guy who is now dealing with sumping even after the entire kit was changed.
Those are the facts. Believe them or not. Makes no difference to me.
Like I said, I just remember it differently, makes no difference to me. I don't think HD should void a warranty for sumping for any reason, i've seen to many cases of it personally on all stages of bikes from bikes under warranty to built ones to think any aftermarket part could cause it. My only issue is with people that don't own their decisions. I clearly remember you scrambling around deleting post trying to cover up your tracks, Weren't you one of the first ones to put a Power Vision on an M8? Really though, I don't care. They took care of you in the long run and you moved on from your problem bike. All is good.
