So been on a few other websites I subscribe to. Member added a pic of his 69 FLH...4 wires all running under the seat-T (his bike is stock and original).

Few other members with original paint bikes admit to running a couple of wires outside the seat-T in order to make things a little less tight. I figure to run 2/4 under the seat-T and see how it goes with gas tanks in position. Might have to adjust the wires to get a good tank fit.

Another thing I could not figure out was how the two wires running from the voltage regulator to the generator are routed. 1969 FLH models ran frome the voltage regulator, along the backside of the pushrod tubes and made a hard left to the generator terminals. (The third wire in the pic is for his sidecar light.)

And factory pic for 1965 models also confirms the same.

Wish someone was making those embossed batteries in your picture.

Yes. Just need someone to make the outside shell and make it look correct and then have the inside set up so that it will use one of the new smaller typ lithium batteryies or similar.

My 49 is set up that way

That is how my Flathead is setup, works great and looks correct.

kfelt, sweet lookking bike you have there. What brand of battery did you use? definitely passes muster.

Who did the paint? Reason for asking is that I need a template for the tank striping. Any leads appreciated.

So what's the history on your bike?

batterystuff.com on the west coast. AGM glassmat type. John Pierce painted it. He has a good website. I did all mechanical and assembly. I will write a history on it later. It is lengthy but interesting.

Front Fender

Backside of Electra Glide emblems. They were a bit crusty but cleaned up real nicely. both marked "8687". Not sure what it refers to thouugh.

Lower front fender tip. Not used until 1970 but one of the first things that i added when I bought the bike and still using it as a "bagger". Still think it dresses up the fender well so it stays. From the factory it was an anodized finish. I removed that finish long ago. Just another piece to polish, right.

And when I cleaned it up this was on the inside.

Interesting Fox Co made more than just the tank badges.
