Not only paved, but one of the nicest stretches I’ve ridden....Kaslo-New Denver-Revelstoke expect to hit it again come summer.

Beautiful piece of twisty. Go into Sandon on the west end. Old mining town that is pretty much a museum.

Half way between both ends there is a lake. A white cross marks a good friend who crashed up there on his bike. If you are so inclined stop and say hi to Dan.

Kaslo has some nice restaurants on Main Street. New Denver has a nice little bar.

You can easily spend a day riding from Cranbrook to Revelstoke via Kootenay lake and the ferry’s. Lots of places to stop, take pictures, eat, and do the tourist thing. Kaslo is a great place, right on the water and in the mountains. Once you get into New Denver and head North you are right beside The Valhalla’s. Nakusp is a pretty cool little town also with a great campground almost right downtown. Once your up in Revelstoke If you have time make sure you ride up Mt Revelstoke.

This ride is on my top 10.

That's the one road I've been on that I always see a bear on,everytime without fail. It's a great ride along the river and the roads in good shape.
Creston to the ferry on 3a is a great run as well along Kootenay Lake...no bears.

It’s a beautiful road!

The one thing I would do different is to stop somewhere between Creston and Revy overnight, to much beauty to just drive by, JMO!

Did that as part of my tour of Western Canada last year. Fun ride from Revelstoke with a nice, short ferry ride at Shelter Bay getting to New Denver. The road from New Denver to Kaslo is one of the best you'll find anywhere.

Gonna have to dust off the GoPro for sure; SE BC is one of my favorite areas to explore; just a skip over the border into the NW States, too. WA Hwy 20 and Lolo Pass...the whole region is my kind of riding. Usually stay in Creston; this time it'll be Ainsworth
