Default new SE springer arrivedbuy it?

I don't mean to beat a dead horse cause I started a similar thread a week ago about this subject. But my dealer just got a SE Springer in black and it's available. I put $500 down and they will hold it for 48 hours while I decide if I want it. I'm not overly impressed with the chrome finish on the front fork by the springs. It's a Harley thing because I saw another one this summer that was the same. But how is the ride for those that own these. I'm looking at Reinhart cross back pipes even though they are more money than V&amp\\;H big radius because I like the look and everyone has the V&amp\\;H and I love the sound of my True Duals on my '08 SERK. Thoughts or opinions about this bike?

Picked up my new '08 FXSTSSE2 in Inferno Orange 2-weeks ago.&nbsp\\; This is my second Sreamin' Egale 110 motor and have never had any problems with them.&nbsp\\; As far as the chrome finish on the springer front-end goes, this is a typical Harley thing.&nbsp\\; Every Springer I've owned and seen, has the same thing.&nbsp\\; In fact everytime HD shows up at a major rally and they bring their comment crew for customer suggestions, I hit them with this everytime.
&nbsp\\;
BTW - I'm running Vance &amp\\; Hines Big Radius 2:2 with a Power Commander III and the thing screams!&nbsp\\; Love the 18" 130mm front tire better than the 21".&nbsp\\; Going in for 1K mile service on Saturday.
&nbsp\\;
Just buy it!

I'm new to the forums, but I picked up my Inferno Orange SE Springer a couple of weeks ago. I love nearly everything about this bike. It's my 3rd Harley and by far my favorite. I have about 650 miles on it so far and haven't had any issues with it.
&nbsp\\;
When I saw this bike I knew I had to have it. There was no question in my mind. If you find yourself uncertain about the bike and worried about things like the chrome on the forks, then maybe you should look at another bike. It's a big expense and many people have had issues with the 110 motor. If it wasn't love at first sight then you may want to look for something else.

I just know I want another bike. My son will visit me more often too if he knows i have a SERK and a SE Springer. He rides a Road King standard. I just want to be careful about which bike I want to add. My SERK is such a cream puff I can't stand it but I want something more cutting edge for around town. I keep getting drawn to the SE Springer and the Cross Bones. No other bike is doing it for me. I went and looked at the Cross Bones and sat on it again today and then sat on the SE Springer. There is no question the Springer is the one. After having 110 cubic inches and an articulating clutch, how can I go back to stock? I'm going to make an offer on the Springer tomorrow. Going to try to get 20% off accessaries I add, MSRP with no set up and freight and the full maintenence up through the 1K, which will include dyno time and springer adjustment since I'm buying the Rinehart Cross-Back chrome flush pipes and a SERT. I'd love to get another $500 to $1000 off but I'll be lucky to get this deal.
&nbsp\\;
The dealer I bought my '08 SERK 2 months ago (which my sone found for me at his dealer) which is three states away and 1,200 miles offered me the SE Springer bike today, which he has in the black color, 20% off accessaries, no setup or freight and $1,000 off MSRP but it would cost too much to get out there now and I'd need to trailer it back personally. I'd never trust a service to deliver a new Springer after I paid for it. One scratch blows the whole deal.

Ditto everything above.

I wouldn't change a thing about it, though. It's perfect as is.

I must like to talk to myself. I'm replying to my own posts. lol. Well I bought it today. I ordered a bunch of add ons that will be coming, including Rinehart cross-back staggered in chrome, windshield, detachable sissy bar and back rest, SERT, and more. I rode it 50 miles so far. I'm very happy with the feel. It's exactly what I wanted to contrast my SERK. The only negative is the seat, at least for me. After 50 miles I am ready for a break. I called the dealer and ordered a Sundowner seat. This is exactly what I went through with my SERK. I also got the Sundowner for that bike and it was the final touch to make it a great ride. I hope the Sundowner for the SE Springer is just as good. Here are a few pictures.

That is my favorite SE.&nbsp\\; My next Harley will be a SE and it will be very hard to decide between a Touring or a Springer model.

Hey maybe Harley will come out with a Springer Street Glide.

Very nice! I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.
&nbsp\\;
Have mine up to 1000 miles now and so far so good. I'm hoping I'm one of the lucky ones with the 110 motor.
