I hate typing in the future if you already know what you want dont ask about something else
That's fine John...I had already made it clear what I wanted in post #39...it has never been about something else. If you hate typing that much it is an easy thing to just not reply.
Turned out the ignition switch was indeed the reason for the headlight/taillight not working. It had a 6-pole switch, but I replaced it with a 5-pole which I believe was on it originally. The generator dash light remains lit when running and a meter shows it is not charging at the battery location. Can I check for output directly at the generator studs to eliminate possible wiring problems in between? I did pull the regulator cover off and it looks like new with no corrosion.
Changed out the sticking petcock today and found a good amount of rust/sludge in the tanks. I'll be pulling those off soon to clean and seal...may lead to a complete paint redo before its over.
Has anyone ever seen or know about maybe adapting a horse saddle for a seat on a Electra Glide? Just thinking...sans the stirrups of course lol!
