More progress. Noticeable details on my style build... With thanks to my refurbisher, a one man show. A long ways to go yet.

What size rim you running on the front? Brand of front brake caliper? Looks good. Coming along nicely. Always liked the rear upper shock covers. Running them on my 65 refurbish. Just think it looks so much cleaner with the covers.

Funny (or not), the most customized bike ever, from mild to wild, and I get called names for my non purist, make it my own bike thoughts.
Ya jap bike, what a crock of bs. Guess I am on my own on this build up. I know what I want to do. Working with existing parts as it was, so far... Thank you
My bike is far from stock, a certain member of this forum gave me shade for not agreeing that EVERY Shovel should be put back to stock.....do your thing and enjoy what you create. Value is in the heart of the rider, the dollar value is immaterial. Matching numbers are for pedants and show judges, what matters is that you are riding a Shovelhead

Thanks Panz4ever. The front diameter is 19", such as Street Glides do. 16 or 21 was not the route I wanted to go in, so a little modern but not too crazy.
Not sure on the front set up. The parts were being sourced but I don't know just yet - I'll get back on that.
I wanted shock covers and the upper shock covers too, which many omit. I was going to omit the cowbells too, but I decided to run them. Didn't want the bike too stripped down...
Stock front height and lowered a tad in the back.

A little more on this bike. It will be a restomod. Parts & parts sourcing beyond the bike that it is.
As to panz question, 2000 era sliders with 2003 era Sportster caliper. Its a combo my refurbisher is familiar with. Mechanically sound is the goal.
His knowledge & skill will be credited when we get through this. We're on a roll.

More progress on Frankenstein. Oil lines & electrical are in. Basic custom wiring vs a stock harness. A few legal bits missing but are pre wired.
As seen here proper fitment of the exhaust is not set in place yet.
An interesting mix of old, older and newer than '73 will be on the bike. Personality but not purist.
As it works out a lot of parts have been needed, more than I expected. But I will have a better bike for it. Still some original patina here & there.
My refurbisher friend is competent and works at a good pace. Thankfully he has experience in Knuckles, Pans & Shovelheads. And cross matching parts between era's if/when needed. I think maybe for a better more interesting bike. Funny, my bike is not the only FX built up as FLH. I'm a bit surprised at that.

Many FX have become FL and many FL have become FX. Sort of like women and their hair, curly wants straight and straight wants curly.

Another angle on my front end. Hangin' with the Duo Glide theme mostly. Almost a shovel/pan bike. Basic H-D trim with a trendy stance. Very stock appearing except for those that know their old FLH bikes. Waiting on parts (normal) for now. Drilled rotor coming. Exhaust fitting and finishing to be done. Maybe to be fired at the end of the month...
Its starting to look like a runner again. A couple of tricks up our sleeve for making it unique. The patina will be on the tins and controls, but looking fairly fresh overall.

That exhaust set up looks really nice. Gonna chrome, paint or ceramic coat it? What kinda bars you plan on running?

Thanks panz. The pipe will be black ceramic coated. And shortened up slightly also so the tip finishes between the axle & rim somewhere, just for a slightly sporting/aggressive look. I think GasBox made the muffler in a slightly louder version than OEM if I remember correctly. I hope anyway.
The bars are as above in its only outside roller pics, rotated down just a hair. Not quite stock sit up buckhorn, more slightly aggressive into the wind. Just a little.
