Well boys, I'm giving up. I'm selling mine. I ride for the enjoyment of it. Any little thing like this ruins my enjoyment of my ride. Every time it happens, which is nearly every time I go out, it happens and I'm reminded how a 3k dollar honda grom doesn't have this happen. My heart wants to believe harley will eventually fix this, but my brain knows they won't recall a bunch of bikes for this. My brain tells me they won't even try to determine the cause or fix, because once they do they'll have to decide not to fix it. It's a lot of money to fix every ****ing bike they've made with this speedo. It's not technically a safety issue, so **** it.
I'll say I was always a european bike guy and the m8 engine won me over, but this is ****. The condensation issue, the gas cap rattling, the aluminum that isn't coated and corroding after seconds in the rain, the rusty bolts on the HD branded accessories after 10 seconds in the rain. It's too much, and detracts from my riding experience. This is depressing because between indian and harley I'm basically just off of american bikes again. They took a gem of an engine and just put lazy shitty parts around it. I'm honestly disappointed in myself more than anything else that I was so stupid to get suckered into paying as much as I did for this bike. You may have been able to say the price gap was for quality at one point in time, but it is not now. You get better quality, and more features from any other manufacturer.
I'm out bois, good luck with the continual decline of this company that is completely out of touch.

Well I think your achy breaky little heart should be on any other bike than a Harley. And all over a speedo. *sniff*

Have fun with your dying brand that can't even fix problems they've already solved on previous bikes they've made. Let me know if the band sounds better when the ship is sinking vs. normal. It's this precise attitude that new customers won't deal with. A problem this ****ing stupid, and a refusal to fix it on a 16k dollar bike. I also listed other idiotic issues that they have introduced, not just that one.
I salute your determination to stick to the ideology though. A fall from that height might hurt. My 2016 BMW that I paid a lot less for is still like the day I rode it off the show room floor. But yea, I'm a special snowflake for not wanting to be ripped off.

Yeah, it can get pretty infuriating with Harley sometimes, I agree.
Thinking along the same lines I have stuffed the big gap under the console to stop cold air hitting the speedo.
Or hot air, dry air, moist air. The damn thing always fogs up anyway.
Let's see what happens!
Used this stuff
I bet this held more moisture than it prevented. Harley gauges fog up. Always have, always will.
This just happened the other day? It wasn't any warmer out then when I purchased the bike. I bought it in early April so it's not like it was cold. I've owned several bikes through winters and rains and this is the first one I've owned to have that any (let alone that much) condensation in the gauges/dials.....
Is this a warranty issue? Are they not sealed? The issue for me is it's a lot of condensation and it's right where the information display is, so I can't see my RPM or gear indicator when the sun is at the right angle, it's hard to read even when it's not. On top of having to look down, now I have to put my head way down there to read it heh.
This is my first Harley, and paid a ton of money for it, and having a speedometer not be sealed would kind of irk me, considering my S1KR costed less, and hasn't had a single issue since owning it for a few years. That bike doesn't even drain battery in the winter, it's kind of nuts. I guess I'm not opposed to fixing this myself if you guys have any recommendations for how? I suppose if I can get dry enough air in it and clean t up, I can seal it with silicone or something? It hasn't gone away fully since being there a few days ago when my wife and I went on a ride.
I had same situation on my FLFBS 2019 Fatboy 114. I read several of these complaints on this forum with several solutions. I brought the bike to my local HD dealer with pictures of the the condensation at different mileage as it did not occur all the time. I mentioned the various solutions to the service manager and he told me every one of them would have voided the warranty. They ordered a new speedo and installed it the other day under warranty. The reason for this post is that I noticed that under the glass of the new one in the area of digital read out, I believe I see, when looking at an angle, what looks like a clear sticker or decal. This may be a HD fix as I don't recall seeing this on the old one.
