Even though I do not like windscreens on Night Trains, I know The National Cycle Fly Screen is out here for choppers and us NT guys, is here any other windscreen out there that looks good on a NT?
I have a smoked short windvest screen, I would think it would look fine. Yes they look better without, but I ride in Florida, and wear a half helmet. Everytime I clean the screen, I am glad the splats weren't on my face. Less neck strain too cruising on the highway.
You'll either have a big functional windshield or a small aesthetically pleasing useless windshield.
If I were going to use a windshield in an attempt to put some distance on my Softail I'd be looking at the companies like Dragon Fly and such. This would give you the wind protection, the addition of a radio and the ability to take it off when you get to your destination or back home.
the small one works, though not as effective as a big one, it is a trade off. I can adjust my posture just right on the highway and my head is in the sweet spot, out of the wind.
I admit they are Goofy looking. But, I'd lookmore goofy with my head splattered on the road than in a helmet!! I'm just saying I would rather block wind with a helmet rather than sport a wind screen on my train.
