Wind Deflectors - They Work
Again, meant no disrespect...dont usually do that unless I'm making RoadGlide comments and then well......Alls fair!!!

Deflectors for my legs because of the forward controls would be most helpful...I might just get the chrome HD one's because they are in stock and are less than $100....
I did quite a lot of research and after reading this forum, decided to bite the bullet and install some HD Chrome Wind Deflectors.
Installation was mind numbingly simple - they attached with the two existing bolts each side, fitted first time, I didn't have to mount them "back to front" and the whole process took less than 10 minutes. Throw away the HD instruction sheet, it is designed to make it look like a complicated process with exploded diagrams that are meaningless at the end of the day.
Results:
- I was GOBSMACKED - the buffeting has TOTALLY stopped (visor up or down). The wind is deflected in a gentle arc from the leading edge of the deflectors around to the middle of your calves - you can actually put your hand down and trace the line by feel. They stop that upward surge you get behind the screen (major cause of helmet shake as far as I am concerned) and smooth the whole ride out.
- My first ride was Sunday with 26 other friends - not a single one noticed until I pointed them out. I did not receive a single negative comment although a couple said that they weren't for them personally.
- We ran through about 25km of very heavy rain - my leather pants remained relatively dry and certainly drier than if the wind deflectors had not been there.
- I doubt that the passenger would feel any effect - they are protected by the rider anyway.
