I actually just took mine OFF again! Just cannot get used to the looks. I originally said I thought they looked ok but after stepping into the garage to periodically check them out (I have OCD!) I decided I just didn't like the "fang" look. I also do not seem to get a lot of the buffeting most here speak of so I can live with them or without them.

I also took mine off after a couple days, couldn't get used to the look. Now I have a brand new set I'm getting rid of...

Default I like the wind too.

I have a windshield and the deflectors. Most of the time they are off the bike. I am a big broad guy and I catch a lot of wind. If I ride 300 miles I am pretty tired from the wind pushing on my chest. I put a windshield on and I got the buffeting. I added the deflectors and the buffeting is gone. So now when I go on a long ride - or if it is really cold (pretty rare in Alabama) I put on the windshield and the deflectors. Doesn't look as good, but I can ride all day and not be whipped.

Just my take, but I will never use the windshield again unless I put the deflectors on too. It takes less than 10 minutes - I put them on while the bike is warming up to operating temp and then I can ride all day.

I have a 2010 Heritage. I put on the fork wind deflectors and it made no difference at all. Still have the buffeting, to the point where I can't use the windshield.

FWIW, I'm 6'1". Maybe just too tall for the windshield?

Wonder if I can jerry rig a set on my springer? I'll have to check into that. Most of what I have on it isn't supposed to fit it but a big enough phukin hammer can make just about anything fit.

IronAss, google KAMCO.( he has a Ebay store front) This guy makes W.S. for springers that have the defectors built in. They bolt up to OEM hardware.
