It's really simple to swap housings. It's just a couple of allen screws and a little bit of slightly delicate work moving the wiring and switches. The only thing that can be a pain is popping the switch covers out of the old housing and into the new. It's not really hard to break the little plastic tab off, so you want to be really careful while you're jockeying it in and out. Also be careful to make sure the brake lever doesn't break the plunger switch for the brake light when you assemble. Some people put cardboard or a washer in there to hold the plunger down. I just take my time and make sure it's all lined up correctly before sliding it in.

I'm gonna do it this weekend, wont be ridind anywhere, weathers threatening to be crap for the next few days.
Do you just pull the brake lever a little and put some cardboard in to keep it there?
Probably should read the book, but that would be too easy wouldnt it.

Like I said, they can be a PITA. I've done about five of them and I broke one turn signal cover. Had to buy another whole set. Now I have a lot of extras.
