if you just did you tranny fluid ...you dont need to drain the tranny you just need a little to add cuz only a little fluid comes out when you take the cover off....and dont forget the exhaust gaskets

Dont want to hijack but i had a quick question. Is it possible to route the throttle, brake, and clutch cables through the bars? If i had 1.25" bars it seems that there would be enough room. Im thinking that if a hole were drilled right after the bend after the hand controls and another drilled at the bottom of the bend to the handelbar clamp then it should be a straight shot. Anyone seen this done before? Thanks

You can do it without taking the tank off,but... I recommend taking the tank off and setting it somewher safe .It only takes one little slip to dent or scratch the tank .Oh and cover the front fender too.

If you didn't remove your tank... how did you get to your bikes wiring harness connector blocks to wire in the new wires?

Enjoy.

Thanks Drew.... I read that and it scared the sheet out of me. Looks like way to much stuffing around with wires and connectors.

I'm starting to think I should've paid someone else to do it!!

This may be one of the differences that i wasnt aware of. All my wires connect in the nacelle. I only unbolted my tank and wedged it up enough to fish my throttle cables through.

I pulled my tank just cuz I found it easier. I didn't pull my pipes to change the clutch cable and didn't loose any tranny fluid either, but I did replace the gasket. Was it a PTA, sure cause there was little room, but it was still quicker then pulling and replacing the exhaust.
