So here's the deal boys and girls- I am VERY happy with my Heartland EZ 200 fender kit, but just lately I've been seriously craving HL's softail bobber kit for my Train. I am thinking that if I were to be able to sell it for exactly what I'd need for the bobber kit, I'd be perfectly happy.
Its the kit that I think I will be adding to my bike this winter. I really like it. Tx_Outlaw has the 250 bobber on his bike, I think its a HL kit and it looks amazing.
I dig that. Alot. Seems a bit spendy though...You don't think you could come up with something like that for about half of the price?
Not without a metric buttload of fabrication work. And I am just not into the downtime involved with that. Heartland's stuff works because it is TRULY bolt-on.
Not sure if it's still the way it was, but the spring seat has spacers inside the springs to make it rigid. I did some modification to mine to make it a true sprung seat. The Heartland kit is really nice! The bobber kit is not just bolt on tho - at least on mine. I had to hack off the fender struts. You can check out the full conversion of my bike here...... http://s515.photobucket.com/albums/t...06Train/Train/
