Thx man. It is a real addiction for sure, but at least this one does not come with a hangover or side effects!
I already have the wheels picked out, but, I really want to finish paying her off before I drop that much coin at one shot. maybe by the end of the year. We'll see.

I made a minor mistake with the wheels. I was asking my wife her opinion on the two I picked out. The Sinster's Billet Daddy's or the Ride Wright Fat 50's. She liked the Sinister's as I did. Here's were the mistake was made. She said, you should get them. I said, not yet, there a little pricey. She said "how much is pricey", I said $1250. She said "thats not too bad". I then stuck my foot in my mouth,@$$ and ear and said "That's just one" Which case, she laughed at me and said $2500 bucks!!!! Ha ha...

That makes me laugh, as it sounds so similar to me & my half, I've hoped things get delivered when she's not in! & get my Local Indy shop to give different quotes when she's around, mind you he said, he has to do that all the time!
$2500 is allot for a set of wheels...you could buy DNA's three times.
Not knocking them becasue they are great looking but damn...thats a hit to the check book
Chap, we all lie to our wives...thats the nature of the game, at least if its motorcycle related its a smaller evil although it does seem to have parralells to a crack additction...lol

$2500 is for the rims, rotors and tires. mounted and balanced. I did not think that that was that bad for an all billet aluminum rim with a set of rotors and a pair of Metzlers 16/21. Maybe Im wrong.
I like the spoke look, but their a pain in the allmighty @$$. Def. gonna save up for the Sinister's, they look like a breeze to clean and I like the looks too.

Oh! Atleast it's not just me? I call them white lies though & to be honest I know she does the same as me but over shoes & handbags, so really it's even? LOL!

Sounds a decent price to me including rotors, pulley & tyres! To be honest, if you settle for something else your not 100% over & just do it due to cost, you'll never be satisfied? I know I've done it in the past (so be it smaller items) & I bet others have but in the end you swop them back out & it costs more? So I'd say stick to your guns!
Yup. Seems normal to me. But that's why I suggest to new HD owners to consider buying gently used. Let someone else put all the time and money in mods and you enjoy the fruits of their labor. In most cases, all that extra stuff results in very little return for the $$.
But if it makes you happy - and it should - enjoy your Harley Fever ..
