Default swingarm bag install question

never installed one so i know this is a dumb question but do you feed the straps through the slots so the buckles are inside or outside the bag? and what about all the extra strap? again i know its a stupid question but never having put one on i wasnt sure. thanks for any help. i bought the leatherworks 5 inch wide bag.

Buckles inside.
Not sure what you mean by an extra strap. Mine came with the upper two riveted inside and the two lower straps loose.

I have mine mounted on diamond plate with a three point mounting using the belt guard mount points.

straps inside.. be sure to wrap your swingarm in something protective, like Scotch 33+ tape to protect it, because those straps will eat right through the powdercoat on the swingarm. just get it night and tight, and cut off most of the excess amount of strap if you want to.

though I made the same mounting bracket that uses the belt guard holes

How are you guys cutting these pieces of diamond plate steel? Cutting wheels?

I installed mine on a plate too. I used WARGS writeup.
