1-1/2" apes.. I've seen a few.. You absolutely HAVE to use a 1-1/2" riser though I think...
These Tolemar Mfg bars look cool:
All of the "Big Buffalo" bars in Drag are 1-1/2" I think also. The regular "Buffalo" bars are 1-1/4".
thankx babs. thats them. but they are to wide and to high i'm not a big guy.only 5'6" and 165lbs.worse comes to worse i'll buy the HD 1-1/4 ones.
i'll do a search for the big buffalo.
thanks again.
jay.
Yeah depends on the rise.. If you're looking to replace something about the same rise as your stock heritage bars, I think those wild 1 8" or 10" rise bars are fairly close. If you really like the bars you have in terms of fitment but just wanted to go with internal wiring, I think Flanders makes them drilled for internal wiring.. But if you're after the fat-bar look, Buffalo or Wild1's probably the ticket.. You have a lot of options though for bars with lower rise than apes I think though.. Maybe even those RK bars by Wild 1 too.. On their site, they have tons of pics of different heritages and fatboys with different bars.. I think I was looking at their WO515's (maybe the right part#) mini-apes as a direct replacement for my heritage bars.. Instead, Changed my mind and saving up the budget for a WO502 12.5" ape project.
or possibly even those H-D 1-1/4" mini-apes from the catalog. (wild 1's made better)
Careful note though of the width of some of these replacements.. The wild1's are going to be a bit wider than stock heritage bars. And stock heritage bars have less of a bend at the top whereas these W1 bars have a more bend. Apparantly the W1's are pretty darn comfy though.
