I sent them a message via there website. I get your point about cost but I'm not one to get sticker shock very often. Maybe I just selected the wrong option on their site.
Oh his seats are expensive, don't get me wrong but I'm okay paying for function over form when it comes to comfort.
Just did my 1st full day ride on Monday on my Lepera Bare Bones, yup, my tailbone's a bit tender.
If I keep this seat I'll get it re-worked to add a little padding but I needed something narrow as I can't sit at the lights flat footed.
It pushed me back approx 2" and down about 1-1/2" from stock.
Anyone had a Bare Bones and added a little extra padding?
I've heard bad things about the gel so didn't bother getting that, should I have?
I wish I could easily find some custom seat shop in Ontario.
I checked out Bitchin seats, $1000 for a seat is right out in left feild to me and I used to do custom upholstery back in the day, I'd do up my own seat if I still had my tools but sold the whole furniture shop.
Does anyone have a picture of a Sundowner Solo on a breakout?
Excellent thread idea btw, finding a good seat is no small task.
raggmann, IMHO do not get gel, get gelfoam. Thats what I went with and I can ride for hours and hours now with no pain at all, especially my tail bone.
