Default Foot peg risers

So I've been a fan of the breakout for awhile but I noticed that there isn't much ground clearance so I was wondering if there's anything that can put the foot pegs higher up (the FXDR's foot pegs look like they have some sort of riser).

Hi,
I'm riding same bike Breakout FXSB 2017. Using Michelin, either Commander 2 or SCORCHER 11. On both, I can tell you that Rear Tire will hold ~20,000km, and front ~40,000km.

Hi,

From my experience with my Breakout 2017 I can recommend 2 main option:
  1. If you have the original pegs...just swap between left and right as they have an angle riser to them, which by default is set downwards. So, if you swap left with right they will be upwards and by that you'll gain significant clearance.
  2. 2" front fork extensions - You can buy those and install. This will lift your front by 2 inches and by that you're not only getting pegs clearance but also ground clearance. I will attach a picture of my bike so you can see how it looks with them installed.
Do Note: You will need to use a longer bolt for the front break cable holder. You see, it is attached under the lower triple-tree and you need to let it go lower as the fork is extended 2" downwards. It is a 60sec bolt replacement and you can use some spacers to close the gap so it can give it the distance it needs compered to its previous position.

Pre 2018 models have a longer wheelbase than later models. They look great but are not given to cornering as sharply as shorter wheelbase models. Keep this in mind when / if riding group. The pegs aren't actually as much of a concern as ending up on the primary. SXR's suggestions are excellent IMHO and if you wish to address some inherent front end problems even further, find the thread here on front end modifications using Ricor Intiminators and Racetech constant rate springs. I've installed the 2" slugs on my 2014 BO, done the fork mods, changed pegs and added a fork brace too. The BO OEM front end is a pig, sad but true. These mods will completely transform the BO's handling in a decidedly positive way. These are easy DIY mods and worth every penny of the investment.

You may encounter tank clearance issues with this method if you have stock bars. A distinct benefit of doing it this way is that the speedo housing remains right in front of the tank gap created by the lift, obscuring it rather nicely.

where did you get the chrome dash from?

Default Breakout CVO Front Tires

Good afternoon. I've been reading the numerous recommendations on switching from the 130/60-21 to the 120/70-21 for the regular Breakout with 21-inch tires and was wondering if those same recommendations would apply to the FXSE as well with the standard 130/60-19 tires. Does anyone have a suggestion on a replacement? I've been looking at this one: Metzeler ME888 Marathon Ultra. Thanks
