Relocation Kit came in today
Just got my 3 Guyz oil filter relocation kit. 14 Fat Bob. Went through the box to look at the kit. I have to say this is a well made kit. The finish on the parts is top notch. I need to pick up some oil and figure out how I will cut the oil lines. These oil lines are not like your typical rubber hose. They are made to withstand 250 lbs of pressure. I just need to figure out what I will use to make a nice even cut. I don't have the tool that they suggest and I am not about to go buy one to only use it one time.
I have one of those reusable oil filters I will be mounting. I think it will look good and help cool down the oil after the install. I will post an update after the install.

Why post this in multiple forums is you have not the first bloody intention of doing the job correctly.
Good luck with that Parker 350 PSI reinforced oil line; I await your images
Edited to add: I know, tough love
You've spent $295 plus shipping on the relocation and your bikes lifeblood is flowing through those oil lines. This deep in to it, a hose cutter to cleanly make those cuts isn't very expensive

Hey Tin, how about you relax. First off, the hose is NOT 350lbs it's 250. Secondly I made the cuts using a carpet razor. Not sure if you know what that is or not. Lastly, the install took longer than I expected. Not sure about other Harleys but on my Fat Bob, the shift lever that connects to shift rod sits below and center of the two fittings on the filter housing which made it difficult to route the outer hose. With a call to 3Guyz, Andy had a few suggestions to correct the issue. All is good now. The first pic is the final install, the second shows how the shift linkage is positioned between the two fittings. Have a nice day

I've been changing oils for a lot of years on many Harleys and never have a mess to deal with because of their engineering. If that kit makes you happy then great. I personally think it spoils the clean look of a Harley with it hanging off of the down tube the way it does. Good luck and be safe !!
