Default Tach for 06 1200C

Other than paying through the nose to get one from HD, I am wonderingis there another company that sells a tach that can be mounted to an '06 1200C.
Pics would be great.
Thanks.

I got a brand newHarley Davidson onestill in the original packaging with bracket, can and all the mountingpieces you need. It's the HD mini tach...I think it's 2.25 inches but I can look up the dimensionsif you're interested and send you the part numbers.Let me know.....Got it from my fiancee for Xmas but decided not to mount it.

You can wire just about any aftermarket tach. Install is pretty much the same - a mount, a few wires, and that's it.

I may be wrong, but I believe he will need a Harley compatible tach for 2004 & up models.

Justin Gaither of Speedway Instruments has designed one that'd be the cat's meow on a Sportster. It's been tested and all but it's still not in production. Justin says: "Soon." A little pricey, but I definitely want one. His website

Louder exhaust is cheaper than a shift light and easier to use. You don't need to look down. Just listen for the RPM's and shift accordingly.

Oh the exhaust is plenty loud, bensonjv, but I still keep find myself trying to shift into 6th gear.

Mine's good and loud with the V&H Straightshots but I still bang it off the rev limiter every so often. Maybe I just need to slow down.

Probably not going to happen.
