Default Throttle won't return

Good afternoon. I am looking for some help before riding season gets here. The sutuation is as follows: 2006 Road King Classic that I bought last year from the original owner with 6,000 miles on it. Currently it has 15,000 miles. Just prior to the winter I had the dealer install Heritage bars. All good except they were angled back too far. I only road it home from the dealer just before Deer Season. Over the winter I rotated the bars a bit forward and installed Heat Demons. Now the throttle barely returns to idle w the forks turned to the right and the symptom gets worse as the wheel is turned to the left. I have the adjusters on the cables set so the throttle cable just allows the assembly to nearly touch the stop. This required a good bit of adjustment "counterclockwise". The idle adjuster is backed off (clockwise) as far as it will go. The dealer told me the cables would be long enough and I also read that here. At a bit of a loss and will appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Loosen the cable inline tensioner. I think it's on the return side.mmsounds like yours is tight.

I had this problem when I installed my bars and the new cables. I had to spend some time zip tieing the cables in just the right place so they did not bind when turning the bars. I did find that after some use and miles I had to un-zip-tie most of the ties to get it still to be smooth. Now it all works fine. Make sure the cables are not being pulled or stretched when you turn the bars, which is probably what is happening. If they are, they will either need re-routed, if possible, or more likely need longer cables. it is dangerous to have the throttle binding, not returning, or worse the throttle being pulled when turning the bars.

I'd be willing to bet the cables are a hair too short. That could be the reason the bars were pulled close is because the dealer knew that's the only way they'd work.
