I put a razor tour pak on my SGS, wanting to run a power source to it to charge my phone so I bought the HD 12 Volt Power Supply kit. From the outside of the box it seemed like a nice setup as it has a quick disconnect for when I wish to take the tour pak off. Well it comes with a wire that is supposed to plug right into existing wiring. I can't find that wire at all. I have read the instructions twice. I've searched on here and everyone says it's under the seat. I can't find it. Has it been moved on the 14's?
Look in your owner's manual for accessory connector. I believe in 14 they moved to to the left side cover. Page 64 of 14 touring owner's manual. I think

I pulled the cover and there is indeed a connector under the side cover however it's a 6 pin with 5 pins in it and the plug in that came with HD's kit is a 4 pin. So while I couldn't find my owners manual I did look up in my service manual to find that is the Auxiliary Device Connector. So I'm at a loss right now, will I need to either get a different cable or is that not the right connector?
MKguitar- I just have a razor tour pak with no wiring in it.
Ran into this when I bought the Road Zep saddle. Turned out the conn. Was already being used for something in the Tourpak. The lights still worked after disconnecting so I plugged the saddle into it. May have killed the speakers, but I don't listen to radios while riding so no big deal.
I think dealers should be better informed on this conn. issue, but I also believe HD should be a LOT better with their instructions...
Just figured out that what I was sold was for 09-13 touring models. On my way to the Dealer to see if the 14-up has a different connection. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks again guys.
Here's a few pictures man. Let me know if this is what you're looking for. I cut a hole in the bottom of the tour pack and ran the cable along the side and down under the frame and back over to the battery tender cable, then hid it all under the left side cover. To take the tour pak off, I will have to cut one zip tie and pull the side cover. If anyone has a better idea as to how to run the wire I'm all ears.
