My speedo is the digital one with a needle tach on top an digital readout on the bottom. The tank lift idea is a good one but I go 200 miles between stops when traveling. In my experience the fuel capacity is reduced; is that right?
I'm going to study the thread where he put everything up on the clamp. It looks like some work but the finished product is worth it.
OP - I never noticed much, if any difference in the fuel reserve volume with the 2" tank lift on my 04 Fat Boy (this bike had a carb...not fuel injection). On that bike (5 gal tank), I usually had to turn the petcock to 'reserve' at ~180 miles on the odometer.
I understand your desire for better visibility of the dash but that can only best be achieved with a fairing. But having a Limited as well as the King, you still have to look down to see everything. It's not as far to look down but your still taking your eyes off the road and the difference in time is milliseconds.
I use a windshield bag on the King so anything mounted on the handle bar clamp is out. The self cancelation on the turn signals works pretty well. They may stay on longer than you'd like but they do turn off on their own if you are rolling. If you lean into the turn, they turn off almost immediately when you straighten back up. If not, they will time out pretty quick. You can also see the front signals easier than the dash and it takes just a quick glance. Other than that OCD feeling we all have, they will eventually turn off on their own. As far as speed, I just roll with traffic or set the cruise.
Thanks all. I'm going to delve a little deeper on the 2014 Police speedo retrofit and if that doesn't pan out I'll look at doing something on the order of the conversion in the link above.
I'll report back with any relevant info I get on the conversion/retrofit.

Yes, let us know.
I also have RK and ride with a FF. I also have an aftermarket faring but prefer not to drill into it. With a FF on, having something in the area where the police tach mounts would be very easy to see unlike standard dash, despite it being close in proximity.
