Odd Windshield Question -- Any Cigar guys out there?
OK, I know this is probably at the top of the "I thought I had heard everything" but I was wondering if a taller windscreen on my SG would allow me to enjoy a cigar while riding? I've got the stocker on now and I think I am going to get a bigger one this weekend and was wondering if the taller the screen, the better chances of cigar smoking is possible. I'm 5'10" if that matters.

Hey Tank, I ride an 07 SG and I put the 8" windshield from Fastaire on it the second day I owned it. I got the dark tint. I can look through it or over it. Cut down the wind turbulance to near zero. I don't smoke when I ride, but I think you could do a stogie with no problems. Check www.fastaire.comCall Jim, the owner, he also rides a new SG. Great product and price.

I can smoke OK with the 8" screen on my EGS , it even works better with the stock 12" screen.
The fork air baffle also makes it easier to smoke and keeps the wind near the chest down a bit. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
I'm about 5'9" and the 8" is perfect for me to see over.
I look under the 12" screen by about 3-4" , and the wind protection is great if you don't mind looking through it.
The fairing air deflectors also help if you need a bit more air control , I kinda like the look also. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US
From one smoker to another.....

I haven't had a Cigar yet, but I always have a Marlboro or 10 when I'm riding. I'm 6' and run a 10" screen and have no issues around town. Out on the Highway, I have to tuck my hand in a little behind the fairng, but it's doable.

why not mount a kruzer kaddy can holder for your beer while you are at it.
An LCD tv screen in place of the radio will work too.
is there a way to run a surround sound system thru the bike's speakers??
On my RK, I had a +2 windshield. The air pocket behind it (w/o any cross winds) was calm enough that the ashes would actually be pulled forward, and fall down between the tank and the ignition.
RE: Odd Windshield Question -- Any Cigar guys out there?
I smoke cheap cigars and love to have one between my teeth forfew miles. I've lost one that went down into my crotch and I thought it was burning my seat but when I got stopped, it had already fallen out.
Long stogies are a problem, I burn mine down a bit before rolling. Ashes go everwhere regardless of the W/S.
Your choice, enjoy the ride and the smoke if ya want, either can kill ya or make ya happy
My RK W/S is cut down 2" from stock.
