I have a black RKS and it looks great all in black, but I like the white ones very much, it makes a good contrast which really highlights the shape of the bike...
The other color that I love on the RKS is Deadwood green...
Apart from that, when I first got the RKS, I also wanted to put on an RGS handlebar which I love the shape of and which would have allowed me a more relaxed position, but as I measure 5"11 I'm not sure that the ergonomics are optimal for me.
And now, after riding it for six months and 6000 miles, I'd be more inclined to do a "club style" setup with a Lucky Dave T-bar and a Road Warrior fairing to replace my Windsplitter, like I had on my ex Low Rider S, which I really liked.
After all, I find the RKS has a more "sporty" feel, and it would suit it well...
But I wonder if I'd have enough pull back with this handlebar to be more comfortable than with the stock handlebar, which I find too wide and too far back....
I used to get a new bike every 2 years or so. when i came across my 2015 road king in late 2016, I went with it because I wanted a police road king and it was almost new-(demo bike with under 1800 miles on it.) I hate black bikes but it was a good deal. fast forward to now and I can't part with it. Very much still enjoy it. I tried to trade it in last year and despite a very good trade number, couldn't do it. bought a used second bike instead.
All that said, I would LOVE to have that white color. VERY nice.

If you do go with T-bars, think about the Lucky Daves Sevens bar. It is great and comfortable, had them on my RKS and loved it. Felt the same when I would switch between the RKS and LRST, which had risers and highbend bars. I think the look suited the RKS better because they are not quite t-bars and not quite apes.
Thanks for your advice...
they look great but they are to high for me (18"), I don't like apes and high bars...
Mine were not 18", have not looked at them for a while but mine were 16" and when you take away the riser they looked and felt like 14" bars. When I got mine they were offered 12" and up in 2" increments.
Edit: Just looked at the site, too bad they don't have the other sizes listed anymore. But the other bars in the Heavy Hitter series does, wonder if they are closing out the Sevens.

Once you go black, you can't go back. The best color for anything with wheels and a motor is black. It's timeless, classic, and just looks so damn clean.

Even 14" is too high for me, I would prefere 10" or 12" max...
I don't know what to do, but I need to change my bar, the position tires me out in the long run...

I wish you the best in your search. Maybe you can post pics when it's all said and done.
I went with the 12 KST Spearheads and they seem perfect, my first handlebar installation.
I took my time and no real dramas apart from I found the clutch cable to be JUST long enough with how I have the bars adjusted.
With a few more rides to dial in the exact position I will be sorted.
Thanks for the advice offered, Ro
