2011 TBW cruise control quits

2011 TBW cruise control quits
2011 Ultra Classic has engine light come on and the cruise control kicks out but light stays green. Cant find any information on this but dealer says they know about it. Nearest dealer is 70 miles away and wont give me any info either. They just want me to bring it in and I asked if it was safe to ride but wouldn't say yes or no on that either.

How about you do a bit of research on this very forum? Tons of information on this subject available, right on the first coupla three pages. Might inconvenience you a bit and take a fee minutes of time, but it's all right here!

I was having this same issue on a long trip. Seemed to have the cruise activated and would function until I hit a bump in the road. I am thinking possibly a wiring issue due to my mini apes? If anyone has any info, it would be much appreciated!

If it is a big bump and the rear wheel comes off the ground, it s normal for the cruise to kick off if there is a sudden rpm change in the engine. A big bump would do that. Your cruise light should turn amber, the OP's light stays green. That has me stumped.

Brand new 2017 Softail. When hitting a bump in cruise control, engine will shut completely off. Will not happen all the time. Service managers at two different deanships have not heard of this problem. They cannot seem to trouble shoot issue. Read other posts on this topic. Doesn't appear to relate to my issue. Help.

I'd have that dangerous turd back at the dealer faster than the cruise can cut off and they WOULD fix that SOB!

Seriously, you've got a brand new, expensive bike the kills the engine above 35mph if the cruise is on and you're asking on an internet forum?
I'd have that dangerous turd back at the dealer faster than the cruise can cut off and they WOULD fix that SOB!
