Thank you. I think its a really good deal considering the mileage and the parts. It sure does add up lol. I see some posted for over $50k, so hopefully someone jumps on it.
Definitely not done riding. I have a couple other bikes, and I have a one year old and another on the way, so right now my long distance/lengthy trips are going to be very limited so I figured I could get a more "fun" bike and less of a touring bike for now. Considering adventure bikes, Pan Am and KTM for the local trails..... Ill definitely be back on a road glide when time allows, I love them,...this is my third. Took it for a ride this morning and it already has me doubting myself lol but I have motorcycle ADD, and I like building them and this one is as "done" as I wanted to go. On to the next project!
If anyones looking for a real nice done up RG, I just listed mine. Definitely gonna regret this one lol...150hp 124", mid controls, +2 suspension, new tires, the list goes on. Details here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/motor...l#post21380771
That's a solid build and those Ness mid controls are probably my favorite out of all the companies who have developed them for baggers.
16841913[/url]]I did the full blown green RoadGlide in 2007 (on my site). That one has 4" of trail. It belongs to a NY pitcher. One of the nicest guys you will ever meet. For most the 30mm cartridges in a 49mm fork will do the job. Just keep under 135mph and you are good. They are stiff enough for most and way cheaper. The brand new Ohlins inverted forks have the same 30mm cartridges that I have been installing into 49mm forks since 2008 or 2009 (I think).
Thought Id post a few more pics before I make the upgrades I need to officially consider it a Performance Bagger. It cant just run like one and look like one it needs to handle and perform like one. Finally bought the Ohlins HD-357 shocks for the rear. Also ordered my Ohlins FKC-101 cartridges for the front, along with a set of 2 over gold fork tubes.
Just waiting on the reservoir mounts to get these installed.

Looks like you already have the mounting brackets in the box for the short hose 357

Im not using the stock brackets or mounting them behind the saddlebags / rear fascia. Im mounting them between the fender and saddlebag lids. Yes, they have the shorter hose vs the 044s, so the majority of the aftermarket brackets wont work for these. I have a buddy thats fabricating a set so I can mount them on the outside.

No, theyre just some knock offs Ive been using temporarily. I have a different set on the way that dont have the cleats. Some of my old low heel logger boots have that waffle tread that makes it difficult to move my feet around while shifting and braking.
Got em off Amazon a couple years back.

I thought the 357's would have come with brackets. When I bought the 044 they were in the box. I guess the shorter hose is the difference, keeping them from fitting?
