Hi Guys, installing an accessory and instructions say Orange wire, with white stripe is the preferred switched power source. Can anyone point me as to where that wire is located or a suitable alternative? Thanks.
First you should have the factory service manual (and the parts manual). These are most helpful and will show you where the orange white strip wires are through out the bike. They are located several areas.
Next what are you installing? If we knew what and where, that could be helpful as well.
Have you checked under the left side cover for the the accessory connector? If I remember right, it has 3 wires (ground, constant hot, switched hot) and you can get a connector with the leads coming off, that plugs into it if you dont want to splice into the harness. #7 on the picture...
