I personally think the LRS shield is a better shield than the Freedom, and I know for me the LRS Ultra Elite moves the air up over my wife better. But again this is just my opinion. The LRS shields are way to pricey anymore to have more than one. I used to have 2-3 of them, but unless they go back to reality on their pricing that won't be happening at my house.
I'm about to buy that 8" ultra elite for my 18 electra glide. Main reason is wife head buffering and I'm tired of looking through the gigantic stock one.
I know it's 150$, but shop around for polycarbonate windshields and find a cheaper, better made. I don't think you can. I had a LRS recurve on a softail and loved it. Hope this one will be the same.

HD brand windshield ~ $160-$170
Freedom windshield ~ $120
Klock Werks ~ $180
Kuryakyn ~ $120

IDK, if you think LRS is better, as they must, then it should command a higher price. Being .006% of the cost of a new bike it's still not a bad upgrade.

That is what I put on my Ultra. It works great at deflecting the windstream over my head but is thinner than my other three and was loose when the fairings were mated and tightened.

If that's the case it will be going back..

I also tried creating an account to track and view my order. But that link doesn't work? Says they'll send an email to confirm the account, buy no joy. Tried it a couple times.

The prices doubled in less than 1 year, you figure it out.

Default Update

Shield just arrived, that was fast and it was a long ride from West to East coast.

Don't think it's going to work the "Reaper" windshield is going to either hit my bars or just be to tight to them. Sounds like and easy exchange process. Also might go a shade darker.

You can see the picture with my current shield....

Just ordered FS for the 1st time, and I like em, priced right too. Ordered the 9" in dark tint and man it's alot darker than LRS darkest tint!

Things I liked about the LRS vs FS is that I like the "Flat tops" shape and look on my bike, no buffeting at all. Negatives are their a bit thinner, do wobble in high winds, and stress cracks near mounting holes.

So I decided to try out another company and went with FS. They were very helpful with me thru emails as I was ordering 2 of them, 1 for a '19 E glide and the other for an aftermarket fairing. They wanted to make sure I was ordering the correct spacing on mounting holes, thought that was helpful!
The thickness in this shield is very nice, like the dark tint but a pita at night! Going to be ordering 2 more in lighter tints for night rides...

Honestly nothing wrong with my current shield. Just wanted something different. And my current shield has served me well since 2012 it's just a little beat up. Check out Fastaire. If he doesn't have what you want listed give Jim the owner a call......

Just got my Freedom Shield today, put it on but it's raining, 12" sport on my RGS, looks like I will like, doesn't look as good as the stock so I think I'll keep both considering it takes 5 minutes to swap
