Just installed my third DK filter relo kit and the 2nd black one. I got lucky this time as the oil lines didn't cross each other because the puck on the engine tightened up and stopped at the perfect spot. I was disappointed to see they switched to plastic spacers and only one set to boot. My other two kits came with three sets of spacers of different thicknesses made of aluminum. Overall I'm very happy with the kit and great quality from DK. I used the HD pinch clamps instead of the hose clamps. I like the look much better.

Thanks Mongo, I had left over black steel braided hose I could have used but I wanted a more industrial look. Plus it's different from the black kit on the RKS. Did you get yours installed?

So let me get some counsel from the hive. My latest ride is a 24 Police Road King that comes with fan assisted oil cooler. Im interested in the forward mounted filter relo kit that DK offers.
Ill be using standard HD disposable filters.
So opinions please.
Chrome or black? (Im thinking black.)
Braided oil line? or no.
Black hose finishers? or no, and if yes, how many 2 or 4? (I am honestly not sure what these even are).
Id like to have it as finished looking as possible, without being blingy, because this bike aint blingy, and not going to be. Its going to regain its police bike appearance. Black side covers, and black nacelle, as well as a black police style trunk/pak.
Black with black braided or rubber lines. Same ANI style hose clamp covers as in earlier picture at start of the thread.

Sadly, no. My bike is still in the shop. Waiting on a set of push rod tubes, one was leaking.

Very Clean Install. Looks good! You already know how much nicer oil changes are going to be.
You should have received 2 sets of spacers, but it does look like you received the set you needed for your bike. Glad about that.
The "plastic" (hybrid nylon that will withstand up to 600 f) grips the downtube better than the aluminum, AND it does not mar the powder coat on the frame.

I used a set of the aluminum spacers I had leftover from my previous kits. The hybrid spacers wouldn't hold the filter adapter tight enough when I torqued the bolts down.
