I'm going to taking delivery of my 2008 SG within the next week or so and the dealer is asking what kind of accessories I want installed (Here we go!). I like the look of the SG just the way it is for "normal" cruising around, but I also would like a tour pak and lower fairings with glove boxes for my longer trips. I know I can get the tour pak offeasy enough, but how is it riding with lower fairings. Any like or dislikes? Thanks in advance.
I have them on my Road Glide and like them. They stop a lot of the wind that comes up from below.
The only thing I dont like about themis the extra cost for the storage boxesand more stuff to wash.
Is your dealer giving you a discount? If not you can save 20% off at Chicago and Zanotti's.
Their great. they keep the wind and weather off your legs , have a place to keep stuff and the new ones have adjustable vents in them for air. You get plenty of air if their open and block out all of it when shut. there is about 5 settings on them.I think there is only 2 bolts holding them in. There is a is ample room for highway pegs to be installed. I dont know if I would like them without the vents. somr people remove them for looks or in summer but with the new venting I never will.
I keep a kick stand plate in my left one, other than that, I wouldn't keep much in them.... it would get wet and dirty. They are nice in the light rain, other than that, I wouldn't waste money on them... they came with my ultra classic, I do like the look though.

Thanks for the information. I'm getting a 11% MVP discount plus I have to pay 7.5% NJ sales tax. I wonder how much Chicago and Zanotti's charge for shipping?

Just register with either one, plug in the part number, put it in the basket and go to check out. It will give the shipping cost before you purchase.................
I just ordered a vented set about a week or so ago. Shipping to me was $28.56. I'm about 45 minutes north of Atlantic City, NJ on the shore.
I had them on my FLHX that I totalled. They are great I loved them looked great and are awesome as far as keeping unwanted things off your pant legs! Glove boxes are awesome! I guess I am a little unhappy that when I totalled my glide april 4th the disenagrated and when they did they did a lot of superficial skin damage. Still not enough to keep me away from them. I ordered another set and a ultra classic tourpack when I ordered my ultra classic tourpack when i bought my new used 07 flhx
