hoping I can get the dyno sheet posted, been looking for the copy for awhile. Headquarters 113" build with the 575 cams, put together by Hoban Bros in WI, SE throttle body, D&D Boarzilla. 110 HP -- 118 Tq. Broad and flat Tq curve all the way through.
Just put a heavier diaphragm spring on and you'll be fine, at the most you might have to install an extra plate kit like the Energy one or SE to go along with the spring. I'm running a 120 with an Energy one extra plate kit and a AIM 480 lb spring, AIM billet pressure plate and it isn't slipping.
Actually ended up with an SE spring and their lock up plate, got a decent buy on it, install this weekend. Upgrade to the billet pressure plate when the 124 goes in lol.
Here's my dyno sheet from last Sept. This is a 4th gear pull. Maybe my results are better than some, I don't know. Some have said that headers configured this way (i.e. Fullsac, Fuel Moto, Power Duals) with the x shaped collector combined with good mufflers will rival what a 2 into 1 can do and I am inclined to agree. I wanted to relate my experience to him and I stand by my assessment..... 105 ft lbs, + or - a few. By the way, the red lines represent my V-Tune efforts and the blue is what harleytuner got me. The numbers difference does not begin to illustrate the difference in feel, manners and so on before and after. He did for me what I could have never done for myself.
Great looking dyno sheet based on the mods and I am sure you can feel the difference where it counts ... the riders seat. Like I said, I am basing my info on other dyno runs I have seen and you are basing it on experience with your bike, dyno runs and tuner ... both just opinions as to the power the poster will see.
As we all know, dyno curves and peak numbers are subjective ... differences in the dyno, DA, tuner and other variables.
This reply is to answer grBrowns ? Well it started with a Hot rod 95 ci,back in the fall of 2006 than a buddy with a 107 came along in 2007 raced to 100 mph got beat by a half a bike length, and boy did they razz me all day long I took my beatin but buddy's just keep at it to the point of I didn't ride with these guys till spring of 2009??? And I was busy with my new plan well we kinda over did it,but you know the rest of the story, but it is very fun to burn around town, than I had to buy another bike 2008 a little motor work on the 103 runs great ask BVBOB,now I had to buy yet 1 more because the other half took that one over because I sold her super glide so I found a 2009 ultra and it is over at BVBOBs for some mild motor work this is to be our long distance tourin bike YA RIGHT, I just like a little giddy up go,sorry for the long story but you asked, ride hard ride straight just don't be late.
Thanks Mike! I have been through 80", 89" and 107" and can now see a case for yet bigger! I know of an S&S 145" that's in need of a new home, but think that may be just a bit over the top!
Head work, woods 777 cams, Vance & Hines 2 into 1, and D&M Air Cleaner
Just seems odd that the correction factor is as high as it is for 1100 ft of elevation in new ulm mn.
Might be something to query the dyno people about.
