If you use them as grabs your going to get them out of shape. Readjust the spring clips with the windshield off of the bike, then install. Never had a problem after mine were adjusted properly.
You guys won't want to hear this, but the system the Royal Star uses for its removable windshield has a positive latch. The two setups are pretty much the same, save that latch. I ain't bitchin tho, the Star is still for sale.
I just went thru same thing.... hit a big pothole and windshield popped off and skidded across the highway it is ruined. never had it come loose an it usually requires pressure to take off, best i can tell poo/poo happens...........350.00 bucks later a new windshield and all is well.
