The HD twist grip sensor replacement PN 32310-08 is extended and the green plug has been eliminated as shown here.
Thanks BertK, I believe this would solve my problem. For anyone looking at doing this bar change, the stock wiring and cables are long enough. The problem occurs if you try to run the wiring internally (too many wires, not enough room).

On the 08 SG, the remaining wires are long enough but the Molex connectors have to be relocated. If I were to do it again, I would purchase wire extensions. I did a write-up on installing the sweepers on the 08 SG for what it's worth.

Cool. I only want to run the TGS wiring internally as it came from the factory. As long as +2 bars will work with this configuration without extending anything that'll work for me. Thank for all the info guys!
This last weekend I put the KhromeWerks 300504 (+2 Wide Sweepers) bars onto my `05 RoadGlide, replacing the Heritage (HD 56902-08) bars that I've been running with for the last ~2 years.
I can't say it was worth the time and $$; it's a noticable but very minor improvement over the Hertiage. In fact, I'd pretty much consider them equal.
There is a slight change, as I had to re-route my re-routed clutch cable. It's now pretty much maxed out, as are the wires (might need to get into the fairing and free some up).
I think I will now save my pennies for a set of +4 cables and start looking at the Wild 1s...

Well fiddle-sticks. I too have the heritage bars and the pictures you've provided speaks volumes. Although your heritage bars were set more on plane with the front-end tubes than mine, I don't believe it would be much difference if they were pulled back more.... at least as far as the reach is concerned. The only thing that would change would be the position of the grips up or down. I think I'll wait until I run across someone that has the +2 sweepers installed on their RG. Thanks.
I too am looking for new handle bars. I need a bar that puts my grip back about 4 inches but have basicaly the same shape as the original. Any suggestions? Mike
The khrome Wrks bars are still keepers for me after over 8000 miles. They are up and back just enough for me and have a much better wrist angle. I only wish they were 1 1/4 rather than 1".

I agree, 1 1/4" bars would be much better. I have logged about 3500 miles on the +2 sweepers and I am still satisfied.
