I had posted more earlier and had been auto logged out and lost it all (I type slow) anyway I think from now on I will insist that Steve ONLY works on my bike. I never had any other problems as long as he worked on the bike. I always try to show my appriciation for his work I usually send a box of Krispy Cream doughnuts in the tour box for the guy's in the back. not as a bribe but just cause I know they don't get the recognition they deserve for the job they do

Krispy Creams hmm...now there's a good idea I hadnt thought of. My last time in the dealer I was so relieved they found the problem I brought 2 18 packs of coors. Gave one to my service writer and one to the tech. Just like you said, a little appreciation goes a long ways.
But it would probably look better if you wait to show your appreciation until after the work is performed and you are there to pick up your bike. Otherwise it may not look a sincere gesture.
hey I went to the dealer about the check engine light, a simple reset. they said the engine had back fired during a start and had caused a re check code to show up. any way the bike is up and running. anyhow I hope everything will keep going okay.
