Until you put a barrier between you and that air cooled motor that you are sitting on top of HEAT is going to be a problem.. That is why our crotch coolers work so well..Unlike the plastic ones they cannot crack, fall off,or break..as soon as you put it on your bike you will notice the difference,or your money back..

Going from a Fuelpak to a PC-V is a noticeable drop in engine temps.

Can't comment on the FuelPak, but I have the same setup with a PCV from FuelMoto and it is much cooler. I also have the oil cooler, but did not see much difference in town until I got the Rineharts and the PCV.

i had considered that also, but be carefull the metal will get hot spots which will make the metal brittle over time and you will get holes in your exhaust. now if you plan on replacing the exhaust in the future then your good to go. that was i went with jet-hot they are coated inside and out so the metal will stay at a consistent temperature. if you ar trying to reduce heat you are definately on the right track the heat is coming from that exhaust. i hope it works out and your pipes dont get brittle cuz all the money we put in these bikes i hate to see anyone have problems it's a bummer.

Doesn't seem as though we are all talking about the same heat issue..I am concerned with the engine damage and not my comfort?? After reading all the good stuff here it seems the PVC is the best bet BUT not guaranteed to work ?? Also, do any of the controllers have the ability to add engine cooling by shutting down the rear cylinder as the 2010's do ?

Unless I'm mistaken, the rear cylinder shut off is standard on any bike that has the Throttle By Wire system. I have it on my '09 Ultra and it was unaffected by installing a PCV, it works fine. I don't know of any 'after market' fuel management devices that can 'add' rear cylinder shut off.
