I'll plan to swap mine out while I'm doing the bar swap this spring. As you said, easier to do this while everything else is apart and no "second time in" hassle.
The poly bushings are absolutely necessary, anyone doing this install (or any apes for that matter) needs to replace the rubber bushings with poly.
My 12" bars, with the poly bushings, move around enough as it is. I can't imagine how sloppy they'd be with rubber bushings. And if y'all are worried about the loss of dampening, don't, there's no appreciable increase in vibration coming through the bars.

I need to make a decision soon on whether 10" or 12". Winter is nearing 1/2 way so I better get my *** in gear.

In the mean while, I would appreciate if I can get a copy of those instructions sent to my email, which is: e.tompkins@jaydeetrucking.com

Thanks in advance.

Well I'm about 3/4 of the way through the install and I just wanted to say thank you to TexasSG and Dew Me for the tips and pointers they gave throughout this thread.

I'm doing this myself and taking my time all the while gaining confidence in working on this old beast of mine. Just a note, I dropped by the dealer today for some parts and talked to a service guy. Out of curiosity I asked how much they would do it for. He loosely quoted me 6-8 hrs @ $85/hr to do the swap...I'm certain that even if I take longer than 8 hrs to do it myself that I'd be more satisfied in the outcome and saving $500+ while learning at the same time.

Gonna work on the clutch cable tomorrow...that should be fun

You're very welcome Jamie.
Glad to hear the Forum was there for you when you needed it, and things are going smoothly. Anything else please don't hesitate to ask.

Yeah, that's a fair quote. A good tech could knock the job out in under 6 hours.

You're "real time" in the job will probably be 8 or 9 hours so I think that's time well spent. (unless you earn $500+ per day at work)

Default Take a picture of the instructions and post it!

Jesus... It's 2013. Doesn't anyone have a scanner or a cell phone?

This website is slow as all hell and I've scrolled though 20 pages of "send me a PM or email"...

Can't someone just take a pic of the instructions or scan them and post it?

PITA!

Now that I've ranted hopefully I don't find out that someone did that somewhere between page 20 and 70....

And if nobody has can someone send me the instructions? lol joshb@hardtofindint.com

Here's the document that I was sent. I put it in my DropBox and made it public. If you can't access it, please let me know and I'll adjust.

Hope this helps.

I was trying to put a name to the link, but couldn't figure it out. If anybody can post how to properly configure it so it can read 'Bagger Bar Install', I'll fix the link.
