Default Installing PM rear wheel today, any tips?

I got my rear PM wheel the other day and figured I would tackle installing it today since I have some time. Does anyone have any tips?

I got one spacer with the wheel, does anyone know which side that spacer goes on? I don't have ABS if that matters.

TIA

Make sure you don't mix up the spacers!!! As you remove the axle, make sure you put the left spacer somewhere off on the LEFT side of the bike and the right spacer somewhere off on the RIGHT side of the bike.

I made that mistake 1x and buttoned everything up only to realize that my alignment was WAY off!!

I guess the MOCO had popeye or the hulk install those rotor bolts. Ended up twisting my torx bit. Got to go get a new one now to remove them. Of course I was breaking loose the last one when it happened.

I had some drama removing the caliper from the bracket before removing the wheel. It just wouldn't come off the bracket because the wheel was in the way. So I just moved the wheel a bit and was able to free the caliper bracket enough to get the caliper out of the way. Anyone else run into this?

Yes.....I found it's easier to remove the inboard brake pad. Easy off and on that way and takes less time then fighting with the caliper trying to get it to clear the wheel.

Glad to hear it wasn't me.

Anyways, I got it on and all buttoned up. Pics will be taken tomorrow.

It's pretty straight forward if following the manual. I was taught from my dad if it's the first time doing something, take pics. Back then, there wasn't digital cameras so an instant was needed, but now, I can just look at them right away. I took pics of those cams and how they were situated. Other than not being able to get the caliper off the bracket like the manual stated, it all went smooth. A second pair of hands definitely makes it easier. I just jacked up the bike enough to get the wheel in there and lowered it enough to get the axle in.

If you have any questions about it, just PM me.
