Or it could be a Toyota traveling at 135mph...And even then I do not ride in the left lane, pass and move over. I love the autobahns, until I hit a stau....
Indeed. We were there in May and one of the fastest things that came past us was an old VW Passat, at astonishing speed.
I also run 5 to 7 mph over the limit except in construction zone. Here in Illinois there is a zero tolerance policy in construction zones. If there is a construction zone marked the LEO's will ticket you 24hrs a day. No workers need to be present, or work being done. That's a $375 ticket and now it's photo reinforced, so you just get it in the mail. If you're in Illinois be very mindful of the speed limits in construction zones. Just a heads up for you travellers.
What a total jerk-off attitude. Why not just move over and let the faster traffic go on by?
Jerk-off attitude??
LOL...um, ok dude. I shouldn't respond to this, but I guess I will. If I'm in the left lane, that means I'm passing someone or need to merge left on the rare occasion.
And again, if I'm in the left lane and already going over the speed limit, and you're still on my ***, then you can kiss it as well. End of story.
Look, I live in Las Vegas. I deal with extremely aggressive, stupid drivers on a daily basis. And I'm pretty tolerant, believe it or not. The only time I get road rage is when someone is pushing me to do something illegal or unsafe.
It's just as aggravating (especially to truckers) when there is a lot of traffic wanting to proceed and Joe Sloe pulls out and makes his "pass" at 1/2 mph faster than the other traffic, as if he's really going somewhere...and takes four miles to get by.
People don't consider that around 90% of the traffic out there on the slab are NOT paid by the hour and are paid by work performed. I don't make one cent sitting there waiting for someone to get out of the way. My check doesn't begin until I open the toolboxes.
...as it says on my back window..."Move over, stoopid."

On friday we took rt 23 down to the Dragons tail, whick is 50 -55mph most of the way. Coming home sunday we took I-75 which is 70mph most of the way. I rode between 70 and 75 most of the way and my bike, a 2000 road king, ran about 3200 rpm and seemed like it was wound pretty tight. Is it safe to run 70-75 for a long period of time?
thats one of the reasons I traded my 05 in for a 09 was the 6 speeed. I think it makes an nice differance do 75-80
If your in the left lane and someone wanting to go faster comes along and you dont move over you're just an ***. Its not the five miles an hour over lane. You are supposed to run in the right lane and go around slower traffic on the left. I gotta believe most of us have been cranked off when trapped in the right lane and the guy on the left has his cruise set one MPH higher than yours. When passing kick it in the *** get around and get back in the right lane.
So you're the one that decides how fast everyone behind you needs to go??!!
my thoughts exactly,,,,go figure,,,no wonder there is so much road rage,,, move over man!!! And if you feel like you can't change lanes safely you gotta wonder if you should really be on a bike at all???

ditto that brother... what's up people who think it's ok with "cruising" in the passing lane,,, they are everywhere.....

I spent most of my life in Nevada and I can tell you that people who think "5 miles" over justifies being in the fast lane are a big reason why!!!
Wow,,,, 3 posts from me after reading this post,,, feel like I'm commuting in a cage... THANK GOD FOR LEGAL LANE SPLITTING!!!,,,,
