By chance can I get the part numbers for the white / silver faced 6 gauge set that came stock on SG's? (Speedo, Tach, Air Temp, Fuel, Voltmeter & Oil Pressure)
I can get you the part numbers for an '07, but I would bet money they would not be compatible with your '05. For example, the '07 has a 6th-gear indicator and the harness for the two bikes would very likely be different. I think you're best bet would be part numbers for an '06 SG, which has no 6th-gear indicator and may work, but before buying I would verify compatibility from a reliable source.
Dawg's numbers coincide with those for my '07, to my total confusion, so it appears these gauges are more universal than I thought. Now, did the '04 have a speedometer with a 6th-gear indicator light? If not, why the same part number? Maybe HD knew it was introducing the 6-speed tranny for 2006 (Dynas) and had the light installed two years early.
To increase my confusion, '09 (I think) introduced the miles-to-empty function on the odometer, so I would assume it would have different hardware. Or maybe the difference is firmware in the speedometer itself.
On an 09, the speedo and tach would be different pn#'s 08 started the miles to empty function. The other air/volt/fuel/oil would be the same pn#'s. You could use a silver face speedo and tach from an 08 and later FLTR or FLHX
