I recently re-installed my stock pipes and A/C after a recent fender bender (Which is a funny story). After a few rides, I have actually come to enjoy the quieter exhaust, my wife especially. Are there any advantages to running the Fuel Moto A/C and PC V with the stock pipes or should I just leave it all stock?
My fuel mileage is much better since I put it all back stock, I can tell that there is less power, but I am not out racing, so not that big of a deal.
The fender bender was from a buddy following me through the Austrian mountains, when the road turned (no signs, GPS showed straight road) I did not, neither did he, the brakes (ABS) brought my bike to an immediate stop, his bike (Honda ST1300) did not. His front disk caught my FM Jackpots (1/4 inch gash) and front tire hit my right saddlebag guard. He had to replace his disk and have his forks straightened out. I changed my pipes back and re-aligned the guards, they are warped, but cannot tell. That was a rough day for him. The UC is built like a tank!!
To answer your question, Yes the PC V and extra air would help even with the stock exhaust. You can get a very close map from fuel/moto.
Thanks, I did receive one from Keith this morning, I guess I will eventually be going back out to put the PC V and A/C back on. I wonder if the extra air flow will make the pipes sound any different?
I'm also thinking of putting the stock exhaust back on. I've loved the sound of my Ovals up to now but I'm starting to get a little tired of the drone at cruise. Maybe they're getting louder? Dunno, but I might try the switch back.

After two days of 12 hours, I am kind of digging the quieter exhaust. I may need to go get another bike for short around town trips that have some obnoxious pipes on them.
I have seen some pretty wicked pipes from Jeckyll and Hyde (http://www.jekillandhyde.nl/) They are pretty popular here in Europe due to the noise ordinances here. They are quite pricey though.
