on your 2014 does it hit the exhaust pipes when fully aired up? Which shocks did you go with Monroe or Gabriels?

Help me out fellas. I had to remove the Gabriels because I had an option to buy the shocks that come with the Arnott system. A friend was selling the shocks because he upgraded to the legends air system. After riding with them for a couple days I couldn't tell much difference from a ride standpoint as the Gabriels so didn't want to buy them for $250. When I went to put the Gabriels back on I notice quite a bit of oil absorbed into the box that they came with. Didn't think much of it at the time but after a few days of riding they seem stiffer than I remembered. It feels like they are bottoming out (not on the exhaust Pipe) at almost any level of inflation. I usually run my system around 60 - 80 psi but now it's like I have to hit almost 100psi before I notice any rise in the system. I was very careful when placing them in the original box and setting them in the corner. This is my second set of Gabriels as the other set had an air leak. Would loosing oil cause my bottoming out issue, and how would I check. Not sure if it would be a warranty thing so at this point i'm thinking about just going with the Monroe's.

OK I bought from Draggin Baggers at the very end but never installed it. I want a air ride like this does anyone know what shocks I have from them? The compresser is a VIAIR 95 so it should work. Need to replace the dump valve and some fittings. But the shocks have no markings that I can see they measure 9 3/4 compressed. Can I save anything?

From some of their earlier posts I am pretty sure they used the Monroes

Picked up my replacement Gabriel shock from Auto Zone today. Opened the box and sure enough one of the shocks was leaking. It was only leaking from the air hose connection and not the seal from the bottom but there was a significant amount of oil in the box and on the shock. They are sending out for another pair. Damn

Wow , after three days of reading I made it to the end. I'm thinking of trying this on my 2010 SG. It already has a lower kit in the rear but im not sure what brand. Has anyone with a 10SG installed this along with a lowering kit? If so, does it rub while fully lowered. I dont plan or riding like this but if I have a failure I want to be sure that I can get home without rubbing wires or fender.

In the event of a failure , can I disconnect the shocks from the rest of the system and air up at a gas station to get home?

On a 2010 SG is there room behind the bags to mount the pump?

If I mount the pump in the fairing, can the hose be ran under the fuel tank without having heat isses from the motor?

Thanks
Rick

The lowering kit will need to come off. With my shocks completely deflated, I am sitting on the swingarm. Meaning that if I were to remove the shocks completely, it wouldn't sit any lower. My tire never rubs on anything. (Stock 180)
I threw the airlines, that came with the shocks, in my saddlebag in case of an emergency.
On my 2013, I hid the pump behind the side cover, on the right side. It's tight in there, but everything went back together without rubbing. That keeps everything as close together as possible. My "up and down" switch is placed in front of the battery, and under the tank, on the left side too. That way I can adjust it rolling down the road. I have been toying with the idea of an air pressure gauge, to replace the ambient air temp gauge, but only because I'm bored and want to tinker with it. If someone wants, I can post a pic of my switch location, because that description sucks, and I don't know how else to describe it.
I hope this helps

Got my system completely installed....works great with CVO momentary switch on ignition panel, and the pilot 4 channel remote. No problems with axle, and rides better on bumpy roads near the house 1 up (190#). Will have to get "Old Miserable" to ride with me to check out 2 up (she hated stock shocks w/ 1" drop)

Gonna ride it around rest of the week to figure out little adjustments. Great job to all that contributed.
