Says it doesn't matter which terminal is which on hook up but I can get air through it just not able to purge. Any help is appreciated because im about to pull out what little hair I have.
I am using a 2 momentary I got from radio shack and that switch may be part of my problem.
If you have 12v going to the dump valve it will dump regardless of wire polarity. Apply power directly from the battery with a couple of short wires and see what happens. I'm guessing you have your switch wired wrong
I have read through the entire thread and performed a search and can't find an answer. Anyone run both the monroes and the gabriels? Which brand did you feel gave a better ride? I know there is a 1/4 difference in dump height.

ive only run the monroes and only got maybe tops of 1000 miles on them as i put them on late in the riding season. im pretty happy with them so far. Id be willing to guess mostly the only differences are the dump height and gabriels has a metal cover over the bags where the monroes dont. Not sure how the eyelets are on the gabriels but i welded the ones on my monroes for the extra piece of mind. I hope this helps ya out.
I just got done installing this on my Ulta. easy enough to do. I used the monroe 785. I just drilled out the top holes to 1/2" and cut the bottom flush with the rubber and put in 1/2" reducers. I dented the mufflers in where they hit the bolts. I mounted the compressor on the back side of the licence plate bracket. It can be seen but it doesn't bother me. My only problem has been leaks at fittings. I mounted the gauge in place of the air temp gauge in the fairing. I used 1/4" line from there to under the seat where all the stuff comes together. All the leak problems stem from reducing from 1/4" to the smaller line. I fixed it to where it takes 2 days for pressure to empty. Im pretty sure its a slow leak at the gauge. Means I have to take the fairing off.... again. I will probably run the smaller line when i take it back apart. It's gonna take some time to get it set to where I like it as it finally got warm enough to melt the snow around here and I put about 30 miles on tonite. Felt great to be riding. Just my 2 cents. This a copy of a post on another thread but thought it fit here too. lol
