did you get the right thread for the heim joints? they should be 5/16 x 24 rh (right handed) thread. if this is what you got, there's no reason for it not to work. i even checked on the 2014 oem fiche and the shifter rod is the same one that's been in use since 1999.

what didn't work?

I double checked the grainger part number and specs against the one that harfooz gave me the link too and everything is the same. Wonder what gives?

I think I found the problem. After looking at the part spec's on the grainger website it turns out these are left hand threaded..... WOW, I can't believe I missed that.

Purchased my set through: http://www.ebay.com/itm/391165355207...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Trusted seller, 100% feedback, nice product.
I see this kit comes with two 1 1/4" bolts, but the OP used one 3/4" and one 1". What have other folks used.

Thinking on finding some Allen head or button head bolts this weekend in preparation for the ends here next week.

And not bad looking pieces either. Got here very fast.

I used 1" on both ends, works. But I'll be revising it eventually for a more unique look.
Probably naval brass.

I found this right on time, I have been noticing how sloppy my linkage seemed to be getting and come across this fix. I finally found the parts locally at an Ace Hardware store of all places. One thing I did find was that the transmission lever was a #8x1.00 fine metric thread. I had to run back out and pick that one up.
Also Ace happened to have brass acorn nuts so I now have a brass nut.

Done. All for less than 8.00. Not bad. Great mod thanks.
