I travel a lot in the summer working as an official for NHRA, so I only did 1500 miles on this bike last summer. I have the dyna and a bagger, the dyna is what I consider my ride for within 100 miles of the house. The bagger also gets the nod when my wife wants to go with since the dyna is a solo seat ride (and will always be so).
I did have to put a tire on the dyna mid season. The tire had less than 2000 miles on it when the 120R was installed and didn't last four months. I am not a put it against the post and burnout guy, just toasted the tire from hot rodding.
That's a funky drop in the curve there at the beginning. What's up with that?
I'm about ready to drop some cash in the bike. Looking at 7k or more for what I'm gonna do and will be 120/120. Reading this now and second guessing myself. I really am concerned with longevity and manners in heat riding 2 up.
Subscribed. I love my 103 with tw-222's but the exclusivity of a 120r BBP SG, and the fun, most importantly, has me hanging on every word of this thread. Did you guys have a dealers install your motors? Any other upgrades (e.g. clutch packs or springs) to compliment the power you're putting out?
I don't have a 120R a friend that I ride with does and he gets about 43mpg avarage with about 10,000mi with no problems. he runs the huracane heads too not the stock MVA heads.
