Default Bad Vibrations

My ridin buddy has develpoed a bad vibration in his 06 street glide, it has 25k and has been well taken care of serviced- etc. It vibrates bad at idle up to about 2 grand then about 2500 rpm it smooths out. He took it to a local stealer and they told him it was normal to just ride it but this has just developed it has not always been this way. It vibrates so bad that you can't use the mirrors and at idle the front wheel is almost jumping.
Does anybody have any ideas what this could be? Could it be the compensator ?
thanks in advance RB

May be broken fairing bracket or brackets. Broken rubber or loose bolt in front motor mount.

Friend had the same issue with a wide glide. Turned out to be an engine mount. Cant see that kind of vibration being anything but a mount.

The weather here in South Illinois has been hot! I also forgot to mention that it gets alot worse when the bike warms up. This bike is box stock just like it came from dealer.
thanks RB

Mine was similar and found out front motor mount had broken as well as 1 fairing bracket. Replaced both and all is well. If your not too far from Marion, Double D Cycles can take a look at it and give you a better idea. Might also check compensator nut as well, it may be loose.

yep, check the bottom of the front motor mount. It may be all ate up. Oil does that. Get a urethane mount from glide pro or velva ride.

At any rate, it doesn't sound "normal". Get a second opinion.
