I just ordered a PV and can't wait for it to get here. I have a 2010 Street Glide with a full D&D pipe and a Zipper's max flo air cleaner. I have been running it with no tuner per D&D. I am new to messing fuel electronically although have some experience with carburation. Can I run a log of the bike with the stock map to compare head temps, etc. before I put in the new map Fuel Moto is sending with the unit?
The first time you connect the PV to your bike it will lock to you ECM. So it can only be used on that ECM for tuning. I believe it can be used on other HDs as a code reader . When it does this it will also make a copy of the tune that is in the ECM and save it. This is the original tune and can be loaded into the PV software and compared, tweeked etc.
I think you will be happy with it, Ive had good luck with my PV from Fuel Moto. I had jamie tweek the original MAP 2 times to get it as close to perfect as I think it can be without a dyno run, and based on my riding style. Its really easy to use , only takes a few minutes to flash the ECM. Im going to play with some data loging in the next few weeks and see if I can tweek the current MAP any more.

yes, you can. when you first get it, you can do a backup of your stock map and save it to your computer. you can also have it loaded in one of your 6 slots and have it available for flashing. so you can datalog with your stock map loaded, and then reflash, and datalog again with your improved map.

Yes you can easily datalog your current setup no problem and you have about 50+ channels to choose from including cyl head temp. When you install our calibration it should be very accurate and it is adaptive with the factory O2 sensors. If you choose to fine tune you can populate fuel and ignition corrections using the included Auto Tune Basic/PV Log tuner program. You are always welcome to contact us for support if needed, and here are the step by step instructions for using the Log Tuner program http://fuelmotousa.com/PVlogtuner.htm
