so everyone with an alarm who has not set your PIN, do so now.

the PIN is entered with the turn signal switches so that if the battery in the fob dies, or it is lost/damaged--- you can still ride your bike.

try new batteries in your fobs- then set the PIN, so you have a plan B

So it might just be the batteries on both fobs??

or there is something interfering with the signal where you parked your bike. either way, like mkguitar says, set your pin, learn how to use it.

Have you replaced the batteries since you've owned the bike? I've had to replace mine this past summer in both fobs. That would be my first guess.

Try charging up your battery...just had the same thing happen to me...it was just a low battery...charged it up and all is well

well it's a 2008 and you didn't mention that you changed batteries in fob, so i would have to say change the batteries first, then get out the owners manual, and set your pin if the dealer did not fill out the wallet card for you.

I am on the 2nd set of batteries in the FOBS and ready to swap again this summer. They last (for me) 1-2 years but I usually swap out sooner.

Another tip....for the spare FOB put the battery in upside down to keep if from going dead as fast. Good to do that when I take it on a trip for a spare. Also as others said make sure you set and know your code.

Have heard some members complain of electronic interference with the fobs. Roll the bike back a few feet and try again.

don't just set and know your code, take the wallet card with the instructions out of your manual write the code on it and put it in your wallet.
